WHO WE ARE
WHO WE ARE
THE YOUNG WOMEN’S CHRISTIAN LEAGUE, INC., founded in 1959 is a non profit 501(c)(3) community service organization marching enthusiastically toward the future. The League works to sponsor and support those activities that both model and represent the Deity of God. Dignity, service, graciousness and charity are hallmarks of the League, with a motto of“Others Rather Than Self.” The ladies of the League, known asSisters, give freely and joyfully of their time, talents, and resources for the spiritual, moral, and physical uplifting of their brothers and sisters whenever the need arises. They have high ideals and religious principles that were initiated by the twelve dedicated Christian women who founded this God-loving organization. They are confident that this legacy will imprint the sands of time as they are ordained to influence the lives of sisters as they join this League fostering God’s work.
PLEDGE
God has created me to do Him some definite service. He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another.I have my mission.I have a part in a great work.I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. He has not created me for naught!I shall do good.I shall do his work.Adapted
